A second chance for the runt of the litter
How round-the-clock neonatal care gave the smallest kitten in the litter a fighting chance.

When the litter arrived, one kitten weighed barely more than a candy bar. Too small to feed on her own, she needed warmth, patience, and a bottle every two hours — through the night.
“The difference between a kitten who makes it and one who doesn’t is often just time and warmth. That’s what your support buys.”
Over the following weeks she gained weight in tiny, hard-won increments. This is the work of a neonatal nursery: not one dramatic rescue, but dozens of small, faithful acts.
What it took: a heat source, kitten formula, and a foster who set an alarm for 2 a.m.
